I know, it's just a pillow case, but this time I actually bought the fabric for this specific project! Minor improvements in my quest to learn to sew.

Branching Out
In May of last year my flatmates and I found a branch that had been brushed ashore in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. My first thought was, "You look like you could be an interesting light fixture. You really ought to come home with us."
While I'm great at starting at projects, I'm not necessarily known for finishing them. With that being said, eight months (two hours of which were spent sanding) later, my laundry baskets have a new friend with whom to keep their corner cozy.

Baby Steps in the Land of Scarf
For as long as I've been knitting, I've never actually tried to follow a pattern.
Here's to 2016, a year of change, and to my UTI for forcing me to stay home and be productive.
Peanut Butter Cookie Time
Look ma, I made me (and my coworkers) some cookies!
Representing the US of A with some peanut butter love over here in la France.

Barthelona
Recently went to Barcelona with the man candy. Here are some pictures of what we ate, drink and subsequently spilled.
Shout out to the Cervecería Catalana, because - real talk - we weren't even hungry.
Another great place that we stumbled upon was la Cereria, a vegeratian restaurant that also happens to sell musical insutruments and STICK* FLUTES IN THEIR TABLES. Just in case you don't believe me, here are some pictures:
A Dining Experience
We're over half way into our twenties and still don't know how to eat yet
All kinds of impatience, because we're having lunch à l'heure du goûter.

Pre-nom nerves
Two victory thumbs up
And as if all that weren't enough, we snagged some pah (pie) to fill our second stomachs over at the Bar Lobo.
You jealous yet? More photos to come later...
*When I say stick I really mean display.
Le goûter means snack time, a lifestyle taken very seriously here in France.

Long time no has see
It has been years - I've decided not to count because it's that much scarier knowing how quickly time actually goes by. I'm gonna go with superfragilisticexpialignorance on this one. And let me tell you, I am feeling blissful!
I am also feeling all kinds of functional adult, thanks to this pizza I've just made!
See mom, I can feed myself.
See mom, I can feed myself.
(Not that functional though, considering I just tried to plug my charger into said pizza. I am going to hope that has more to do with fatigue than anything else.)
